Manchester United last night cruised into the last 16 of the Champions League. Sir Alex Ferguson's side brushed aside Dynamo Kiev after two goals in five first-half minutes gave them the springboard for a 4-0 victory at Old Trafford. Gerard Pique got his first in a United shirt, putting the Reds ahead after 31 minutes. Then the old firm of Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney got together with a goal each either side of the break. Cristiano Ronaldo added the gloss. Kiev have not won away from home in the Champions League since March 2000 - and although Ferguson made five changes, they never looked like halting United's progress.
